After travelling to Southeast Asia, Central America and Europe, Haley Stavert packed up her car and moved to Vancouver in February 2010, searching for something new and exciting. Unfortunately the car only made it 20 minutes outside of Edmonton. Undiscouraged, Haley made it to Vancouver and has loved every second of living on the West Coast. Haley joined the Investing News Network team in October 2011 as executive assistant and researcher and looks forward to expanding her knowledge in a new industry.
Graphite One Resources Inc. (gph:TSX-V,gphof:OTCQX) has announced its maiden resource for its Graphite Creek Property in the mining friendly state of Alaska, USA, only 3 km from tide water.
Given the frequency of its attention this year, it’s fair to say that 2012 was the year of graphite. Much of its attraction comes from the increasingly high-tech demand in applications such as Li-ion batteries, fuel cells, vanadium-redox batteries, pebble bed reactors and graphene, just to name a few.
